Kerrie Ann has learnt a great deal about management processes during her learning journey, but has also learned a lot about how valued she is in her company, and how far she can stretch her skills and achieve- read on to find out more about her time with us and what she learned!
Kerrie Ann now has two management qualifications following her time learning with us. She said she would not have completed the qualifications if it was not for Skills Support for the Workforce, due to the financial constraints and because she had not seen the value to herself or the organisation. Due to meeting Joanne, one of our tutors, it has helped Kerrie Ann to see that it is worth investing in upgrading her skills in management. Kerrie Ann has mentioned to us that: “Even if I don’t use all of the skills I have learned, I will still have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to use in any other future job role.”
Kerrie Ann has told us that the biggest benefit of the support provided had been Joanne’s support of both her learning and her mental health. “Joanne has given me so many opportunities to learn and grow, she has had a totally different view of me than what I have of myself, she has encouraged me to value my own worth and see that I am a massively important part of my organisation.”
“With the support I have received and the encouragement from Joanne to take part in further learning, I will have a greater confidence in my own skills and will be able to apply for positions that I would have normally dismissed due to lack of qualifications and confidence. I would consider further training with Skills Support for the Workforce, and I’m going to keep in touch with Joanne, as when our organisation reopens there may be many learning opportunities for myself and other staff.”
